RACV Social Media House Rules

Feedback 

RACV encourages everyone to participate in public discussion on our social media accounts. We welcome relevant posts, comments, photos and videos. When posting, please remember to give everyone a fair go. Posts will be deleted if they are: 

  • Abusive, harassing, stalking, threatening or attacking others 

  • Defamatory, offensive, obscene, vulgar or depicting violence or sexually explicit content 

  • Hateful in language targeting race/ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability or political beliefs 

  • Fraudulent, deceptive, misleading or unlawful 

  • Trolling, derailing posts or deliberately disrupting discussion 

  • Spamming, commercial solicitation or solicitation of donations 

  • Promotion of a competitor 

  • Link-baiting 

  • Doxing (posting another person’s personal details)  

  • Linking to fundraising or campaign pages 

  • Posting links or uploading files that contain viruses or malware 

  • Not in a language understood by the majority of fans 

  • Violating any copyright or intellectual property rights 

  • Duplications of identitcal or very similar posts made on our social media accounts

We will ban anyone who repeatedly violates the above guidelines. 

Promotional posts  

We welcome the promotion of community events where appropriate, however (non-partner) commercial events may be deleted and posts promoting commercial products or services will be deleted.

We welcome your questions and enquiries on social media. You can also learn more about our products and service via our website: www.racv.com.au. Call us on 13 RACV (13 7228) for products and services, or 13 19 03 for claims.  

Disclaimer  

The views expressed on our social media accounts are those of the individual sender. Views expressed by anyone other than us are not our views and we disclaim all liability for those views. We reserve the right to remove posts at our sole discretion. 

Privacy 

Never post personal information such as your membership number, driver’s licence, registration, birthday, home address or phone number. For more information, please read our Privacy Statement
