Bonaccord, a successful primary food producer for over 60 years, connected with us to make the switch to clean, affordable energy.

As part the VIC Government Agriculture Energy Investment Plan, Bonaccord had already completed their energy efficiency audit. The next step then was for our team to survey the site.

Using drone photography and our 3D modelling software, our project managers and designers designed the best system, taking into account shaded areas or structures that could impact system performance.

For this project, we chose the Sunpower solar panels for two reasons:

  1. The panels come with drain holes which allow water to flow off and carry away dust and grime. This is a critical feature for roofs with a low pitch, such as Bonaccord's, where water is more likely to pool on the glass of the panels.
  2. Sunpower's industry-leading 25-year product warranty gives Bonaccord peace of mind that the panels are in it for the long haul.

We completed the installation during the winter months when the production schedule is less intense than in summer. 

Our team of installers also worked diligently to minimise interruption to the day-to-day production schedule and ensured that all shutdowns were scheduled after hours.
