You’ve waited a long time to get your licence and you deserve to enjoy your new found freedom. That’s why free2go aims to make the first years of driving as safe and hassle-free as possible. Membership to free2go has 3 components:
1. Emergency roadside assistance.
For members joining at 18 years old or in Year 12:
- One year of emergency roadside assistance (Roadside Care*) for free, including Personal Cover. This means that whether you’re the driver or passenger of the car that breaks down, you can call RACV for assistance.
- Roadside Care offered for second and third year at half the normal price on a nominated vehicle.
For members joining at 19 years old:
- Emergency roadside assistance (Roadside Care*) offered for two years at half the normal price on a nominated vehicle.
For members joining at 20 years old:
- Emergency roadside assistance (Roadside Care*) offered for one year at half the normal price on a nominated vehicle.
If you are 19 or 20 years old and don’t want Roadside Care, you can still join free2go for free and access all the other benefits!
2. Free motoring information and advice on getting a licence and buying a car.
Includes:
- tips on obtaining a learners permit and probationary licence including an interactive online Road Rules Quiz;
- motoring information and advice;
- technical advice and information when buying a car; and
- useful tools and guidelines for car maintenance.
3. Access to the benefits of RACV membership including the Show Your Card & Save program and other special benefits.
