As a RACV member with Total Care your nominated vehicle or motorcycle is covered no matter who is driving the vehicle.  As an added advantage, as a member with Total Care you also have access to Total Care benefits whilst driving any vehicle (that is eligible for service), for example you are covered in your partner's vehicle or in your friend's vehicle.

Total Care also provides you with free access to single RACV Bike Assist and RACV Wheelchair and Scooter Care.

You get unlimited service calls with Total Care.

When you need RACV Total Care, simply call 1800 333 300. You will be put in contact with a Care Consultant who will make all of the necessary arrangements on your behalf including:

Emergency roadside assistance for when you have a flat tyre, a flat battery, when you have run out of fuel, locked your keys in the vehicle or your vehicle simply won't start.

Extended benefits for assistance in organising benefits such as accommodation and vehicle rental.

Accident assistance and advice should you be involved in an accident over 100km from home, RACV will be there to assist you 24 hours a day.

Medical transportation benefits should you or any family member travelling with you require hospitalisation.

Should you be on a shorter journey and your vehicle breaks down, RACV will contribute up to $250 (per incident) towards a pool of benefits to assist you while your car is being repaired.  These include a combination of the following:

• Accommodation
• Rental vehicle
• Taxi fare (up to a limit of 3 trips of $80 each)
• Alternative transport

When a trailer or caravan is being towed by your vehicle and breaks down, RACV will assist with repairs such as wheel changing and the servicing of external lighting. Where we are unable to fix your trailer RACV will provide unlimited towing in the metropolitan area or in the country to the attending Service Depot.  RACV will also provide for alternative trailer hire costs in the event that we cannot fix the problem on the roadside.

If you are more than 100km from home and your caravan or trailer is at a place of repair as a result of a breakdown or accident, and is expected to be at the place of repair for more than 24 hours, RACV will organise and pay up to $2,400 in benefits for you and any passengers travelling with you while your caravan or trailer is being repaired.

We also provide you extra assistance at the time of breakdown, with up to $250 worth (per incident) of locksmith services, trailer hire or special towing equipment.

Should you be on a longer journey and your vehicle breaks down or is involved in an accident, RACV will contribute up to $2,400 (per incident) towards a pool of benefits to assist you while your car is being repaired.  These include any combination of the following:

• Accommodation
• Rental vehicle
• Taxi fare (up to a limit of 3 trips of $80 each)
• Alternative transport

Members with Total Care who also have RACV Comprehensive Insurance cover on the damaged vehicle are now able to receive assistance in the event of being involved in a car accident.

RACV will contribute up to $100 per incident to assist you immediately after the accident towards the cost of:

• Rental vehicles
• Taxi fares
• Alternative transportation

Should you or an immediate family member suffer a medical emergency over 100km from home, we will provide a range of benefits to assist you in getting back home.

RACV will pay $10,000 to the personal legal representative of the member if the member dies as a result of an accident involving the eligible vehicle.

Should you have any personal effects or clothing stolen or damaged as a result of a breakdown, accident or theft affecting a vehicle or trailer, RACV will contribute up to $275 for compensation.

RACV Total Care offers you the peace of mind in knowing that should your vehicle require towing, that you are able to receive unlimited towing in Metropolitan areas and towing to the attending Service Depot in country areas or a location chosen by the member within 100 kilometres of the breakdown in Country Areas.

When your vehicle runs out of fuel, RACV will supply up to 5 litres of fuel to get your car to the nearest service station.
