RACV Torquay Resort wins honeymoon award

RACV Torquay Resort must know a thing or two about romance – for the third year in a row it has taken out the award for best First Night Honeymoon Accommodation (Victoria), as voted by brides and grooms, at the 2017 Australian Bridal Industry Awards.

It was also runner-up for resort reception and made the top 10 for best function coordinator.

Wedding and Events Coordinator at RACV Torquay Resort, Dana Broekhuizen, says: “We were thrilled to win this award, it is the third year in a row and we were very proud of the team.

“We always ensure that everything is perfect for our wedding couples, from the reception to the accommodation, and it’s that level of service that has been recognised through this award.”

RACV Torquay Resort has 92 five-star accommodation rooms, all with sweeping views of the golf course and nearby beaches from Jan Juc through to Torquay.

“Most bridal couples will stay in our Ocean Spa Suite,” said Dana. “It is our premium room with a private balcony with day bed, a large living area to get ready in with the bridal party, and a luxurious spa bath.”

She says the resort’s facilities are ideal for pre or post-wedding relaxation, including the indoor swimming pool, tennis courts, recreation room, walking tracks, and luxurious One Spa.

RACV City Club was also recognised in the ABIA awards as a finalist in the club reception category.
