On Friday 10th June, the AEC released the names of the candidates in every seat for the 2016 Federal Election, along with the order of the names on the ballot papers.
RACV has provided an online tool that enables you to contact candidates in the major parties for each Federal seat.
In the 2016 Federal Election, RACV’s five infrastructure priorities are:
the North East Link to complete the M80 Metropolitan Ring Road, from Greensborough to the Eastern Freeway and Eastlink
Western Distributor, connecting the West Gate Freeway to CityLink to provide an alternative to the West Gate Bridge, direct access to the Port of Melbourne and to cater for Melbourne’s growing western suburbs
Melbourne Metro Rail Tunnel, to provide much-needed inner-city capacity for Melbourne’s train network, better public transport access in key inner-city areas, and as a major step towards major changes to Melbourne’s train network
Completing the final stages of the major highway bypass and duplication projects. This includes the Western Highway to Stawell, Princes Highway East to Sale, and Princes Highway West to Colac.
Commencing the Shepparton Bypass, to at least a four-star standard, from Karramomus Road to Congupna.
You can use the link above to send an e-mail to the candidates asking whether they support these projects and others that matter to you and your family.
The names and contact information supplied by the candidates can be downloaded from the AEC’s website. It is optional for the candidates to provide contact information – 23 Victorian candidates have chosen not to provide any via the AEC.
