300 days of sun
Cobram rewards visitors with more than 300 days of sunshine each year. The good weather enables many outdoor activities. Cobram is also in the heart of Victoria’s Food Bowl, ensuring plenty of high-quality fresh fruit and dairy produce readily available.
RACV rewards visitors with discounts at several attractions and at its Cobram resort.
By booking direct, members save 25% on accommodation at RACV Cobram Resort, which is on 10ha, with the Murray River close by. Visit racv.com.au/cobram.
There are three accommodation options – apartments, cabins or the 4.5 star caravan park, which has 26 large sites to accommodate the larger modern caravans. Each site has town water and power.
The resort has a range of recreation facilities including tennis courts, BMX track, giant jumping pillow, children’s playground, go karts, bicycle hire and an indoor and outdoor pool.
Photographer and caravanner, Peter Weaving, who based himself at the resort with his wife Virginia, said that as caravans get bigger it was good to find a place that accommodated them.
“We experienced Cobram differently – staying at a resort, rather than with friends – and Cobram impressed us as a tourist venue, especially Thompson’s Beach (Australia’s largest inland beach) and the historic buildings.”
RACV has partnered with several businesses and tourist attractions in Cobram, Shepparton and surrounding areas to provide discounts to RACV members. To find out more, visit racv.com.au/sycas. For more on Cobram Barooga, visit cobrambarooga.org.au.
