Hear Professor Peter McPhee speak on Van Gogh and the new Winter Masterpieces exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria.The exhibition features works held in the Netherlands, organised around the seasons, which had a profound meaning for Van Gogh.
This lecture will offer an understanding of Van Gogh in the context of his early life in the Dutch region of Brabant; his most creative period in and around Arles in southern France; and his final weeks at Auverssur-Oise, north of Paris.
