International travel looks significantly different than it did in 2019 – Here’s how RACV Travel Insurance can help protect you when travelling overseas.

The last two years have shown that when travelling during a pandemic, we need to be prepared for our plans to change with a moment’s notice.

Things like government border closures, lockdowns, quarantine requirements and the Do Not Travel Warning list mean flexibility is key when it comes to booking a holiday, as well as protecting ourselves from things like travel-related financial loss.

Comprehensive Travel Insurance has been a vital part of consumer travel protection for some time. However, the height of COVID-19 in Australia, which forced the cancellation of almost all travel bookings, not only highlighted the importance of protecting holiday plans with Travel Insurance, but the need for these policies to evolve to meet new consumer needs and a dynamic travel environment.

And while fully vaccinated Australians are free to travel overseas from November 1st, 2021 without an exemption, Travel Insurance is now more important than ever – particularly upgraded policies designed to better protect travellers during the pandemic.

RACV EGM Leisure, Craig Peachey says that while consumers may be cautious to book international travel in the age of COVID-19, they can do so with more confidence thanks to RACV Travel Insurance which now includes limited COVID-19 benefits.

“RACV Travel Insurance’s new COVID-19 benefits are designed to give consumers a level of protection and added peace of mind to book and enjoy international travel."

“Overseas travel is intrinsic to the Australian way of life and many have missed the thrill of discovering new countries, cities and cultures. We’re excited to help more travellers realise their dreams and achieve their bucket lists through the RACV Travel Insurance upgraded Comprehensive and Domestic plans.”

Best of all for those keen to jet off, RACV Members currently receive 15% off RACV Travel Insurance.
