The RAC UK has established a free phone number for Australian Club members travelling in the UK. The member simply needs to call the toll free phone number (0800 0155670) and quote the scheme code (AUSRAC), details then appear on the RAC computer system so that the operator can provide assistance. The RAC will require sight of the Australian Club Membership Card to prevent abuse of the scheme.

The “Rescue” service offered provides roadside assistance, or a tow to a local garage within a ten-mile radius.

Members of AIT-affiliated clubs UK roadside assistance and local tow is available for a fixed call-out fee of £120.00 (payable by credit card to the AA call-handler at the time of the incident).

Members of AIT-affiliated clubs travelling in UK rental vehicles should use the breakdown assistance service supplied by the rental agency.
