Cape Schanck Resort
Location, location, location! RACV Cape Schanck Resort is located on the Mornington Peninsula, a 75-minute drive from Melbourne and two hours from the Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport. The closest town is Rosebud, which is approximately eight kilometers from the resort on Port Phillip Bay with bayside beaches, and 12 kms to the township of Flinders on Bass Strait with its rugged surf beaches.
There are three main routes to RACV Cape Schanck Resort. The most direct route from Melbourne’s CBD is along the Monash Freeway, and then the Eastlink turn off to Frankston. This merges into the Mornington Peninsula Freeway. Stay on this road until it ends at a T intersection (with a round about) at Boneo Road. Take a left-turn and a further 10-minute drive brings you to the RACV resort entrance. Stay on this drive until you reach the RACV flags. You have now arrived at the main complex.
More scenic options include taking the Nepean Highway, either all the way from the city or diverge off the Mornington Peninsula Freeway at Frankston. Turn right at Main Street, Mornington and continue to the Esplanade, where you turn left at the roundabout and follow it all the way to Boneo Road – enjoying the sea views along the way. A further 10-minute drive brings you to the RACV resort entrance.
Alternatively take a detour off the Mornington Peninsula freeway to Redhill and Flinders. Follow the signs and take a leisurely tour through the rolling hills and dales of vineyards with fabulous cellar doors and restaurants. From Flinders take Boneo Road to Cape Schanck, which is about a 15-minute drive.
