Your membership gives you access to join a range of special-interest groups. A great way to meet new people and try new things, member interest groups allow you to follow your passion, whatever it may be. A calendar of meetings can be found in each edition of Highlights magazine, or you can explore what’s on below by selecting the categories you’re most interested in.

Day trippers

Since 2013 the RACV Club Day Trippers interest group has been enjoying outings to historic Melbourne land marks as well as day visits to tourist attractions around country Victoria. With pick up from both City and Healesville Clubs we welcome all members and their guests to participate in this fun and friendly group. Where we have been: Living Legends, Rupertswood Mansion, Beleura House, RACV Torquay Resort, Kelly Country, Mornington Market, Herronswood, Werribee Mansion and Woodlands Park.


Travel groups

Love to travel? Want to share your stories, learn from other travellers or simply be inspired to undertake a journey large or small? Join one of the RACV Club member interest travel groups intended to introduce you to members who share your passion. The groups are free to join for all RACV Club members.

Cycling group

The RACV Club Cycling group have been meeting for monthly rides since 2007. Rides include both bike paths and road rides and a reasonable level of fitness is required for participation. A very social group and new members are very welcome!

  • Burger Run

    Sun 1 Sep | 9.30am | City Club, Car Park Entrance


    An easy 45km circuit along well-known tracks plus another less frequented one. They lead to a hidden treasure that will give you something to chew on. Suitable for all bike types.


  • Western Mystery

    Sun 29 Sep | 8am | Fairfield Railway Station


    This 70km circuit takes in tracks both familiar and new, guaranteed to get you well and truly bush-wacked. Suitable for all bike types.

Pennant Squash

RACV Club has 12 teams ranging from A1 to F competing in the Melbourne Club Circuit. Home and away matches take place at different locations around Melbourne CBD and inner and outer suburbs. Games are usually played between 6.30pm and 9pm Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. 

The Squash Club is open to all Club members who wish to actively play squash. Members can contact for further details.

Wine Circle

Members passionate about wine are invited to join an interest group designed especially for wine lovers, The Wine Circle. Connect with fellow members and share your passion while discovering more about, or simply enjoying, wine. 

The Wine Circle is free to join and has many benefits including:

Mahjong is an entertaining game originating in China involving skill, strategy and calculation, as well as a certain degree of luck. Founded in 1996, and with an emphasis on fun and friendship, the Mahjong Group welcomes members of any level to participate.

Healesville Stiching Group

Bridge groups

Approximately 16 RACV Bridge players commenced a duplicate bridge group in 1995 at the former Club premises at 123 Queen Street. Today, there are 190 registered Club members participating in the Bridge programme, ranging from weekly supervised and duplicate sessions, supervised lessons, beginner lessons, intermediate workshops and weekend challenges under the supervision of experienced director Ben Kingham.


City Club meetings

Weekly meetings are held at RACV City Club. Bookings are required for Monday Supervised and Wednesday Duplicate Bridge sessions. Members who attend without a booking will only be accommodated if the session is not at capacity. 

With works underway at the Club, rooms are subject to change. See reception on arrival and we'll point you in the right direction.

Beginners Lessons

This two unit course is for beginners or those who have played before and want to refresh their skills. Held on Wednesday afternoons on set dates under the supervision of Ben Kingham. minimum of 12 participants are required for the course to proceed. Units cannot be booked individually.

For members with a reasonable level of bridge knowledge who would like to develop their confidence before moving into duplicate bridge.

Billiards and Snooker

Only one Club offers the unique combination of a world class billiards room and a triple world champion. With a spacious billiard room featuring eight full-sized tables, superbly maintained to international competition standards, the RACV Club provides a range of activities for members to enjoy.



Events and meetings

Learn from a World Champion

Resident professional Robby Foldvari is a triple world billiards champion, trick shot specialist, and a brilliant entertainer and motivational speaker. He is widely regarded as the world's best combined billiards and snooker player, having been the highest ranked player competing concurrently on both world tours.


He has won tournaments all over the world, has contested more classes of world championships than any other player and has performed on national and international television. Robby has captained the Australian World Cup snooker team, and is an official coach of the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association.


If you have ever thought about learning billiards or snooker, then here's your chance to get lifelong skills from a professional. Join Robby for a practical and extremely enjoyable group coaching course that runs every Thursday for four weeks.

Ladies Snooker Group

Members are invited to join the fun of Ladies Snooker, a social group meeting on the second Thursday of each month at the City Club. Formed in 1999, the ladies enjoy playing socially and sharing life experiences. The group is always seeking new members and players of any standard are encouraged to participate. Come along, make new friends, and most of all have fun.

Pennant Teams

For the more serious players you can register your interest in joining a Snooker or Billiards team. These teams are graded and play home and away matches against other clubs in the city or around the Melbourne suburbs. Contact us to discuss your standard and evaluating which team is suitable and available for you. Matches are played in the evenings. There are costs involved in taking part in a team.




Social competitions

Billiards, snooker and pool (8 ball & 9 ball) tournaments are held throughout the year. Members and their guests are invited to participate in these social tournaments. Each tournament includes Launch Night competitions and trophies for the tournament champions.

Entertainment and Team Building

You can enhance an event that is being held in another area of the Club, and book Robby for a show that can last from 30 minutes to three hours. Robby provides an entertaining show, and delegates and guests can be placed in teams and/or coached. Robby can perform a range of training drills, games and competition specifically designed for relationship and team building as well as entertainment.

This opportunity could be used as:


  • An effective ice-breaker at the start of a function
  • A welcome break from a meeting
  • An up-beat finish to a conference or event

Alternatively, members can host events in the billiards room. With purpose-built exhibition arena, gourmet catering and the welcoming atmosphere of the adjacent Members' Carbine Bar, we offer a truly unique experience.

Volunteer group


Are you looking to give back to the community? The RACV Volunteer Program might be the answer for you. RACV works with community organisations to deliver programs that benefit Victorians. RACV provides support to these organisations, involving members and staff in their volunteer activities wherever possible.

Mentor Program

RACV Club is very pleased to offer the RACV Club Mentor Program, our goal is to bring together Club members of different accomplishments, ages and talents to share knowledge and expertise outside the confines of individual workplaces.


RACV Club has a large and diverse membership base, with experience across a wide range of industries and executive roles. The program seeks to pair younger, professional Club members with more experienced, professional Club members, providing an opportunity to share knowledge and expertise. 


The program will run for approximately four months. We recommend that you arrange between seven and eight mentor meetings (about every two weeks) during this time to gain the greatest value from the program. The Induction and Finale Dinner dates are compulsory and availability must be confirmed prior to beginning the program.

Michael James will oversee the program to provide guidance and support to both mentors and mentees.


Michael is a professional board director, board advisor and executive coach to senior executives and board directors of services organisations in both private and publicly listed environments.

Features include:

  • Introductory launch session
  • Individual pairing
  • Framework of suggested sessions
  • Mentor Program co-ordination and support
  • Web-based tool (Mentorloop) to assist with resources and connecting with your mentor
  • Guidelines, recommended support resources and a workbook
  • Regular email communication to provide assistance and support through the program
  • And a celebratory session at the conclusion of the program.

  • Promote and support personal and professional development of members
  • Facilitate a mutually beneficial relationship between mentors and mentees
  • Provide members with opportunities to reflect on and enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Enable mentees to develop skills, knowledge and confidence in their own careers
  • Encourage members to actively engage at RACV Club with other members and develop their professional networks.


Mentoring can be invaluable in contributing to personal and career development. RACV Club also provides a convenient, comfortable and safe space for members to hold mentor meetings anytime throughout the day.

The RACV Club Young Professionals' group is a social group providing members with the opportunity to meet and network during scheduled and casual events.
