what does "no fault rating protection" mean?

All RACV policies also carry additional 'no-fault' rating protection.

If you have to make a claim where you are not at fault your rating will not be penalised. This can include, for example, storm damage or if your car is stolen.

Even if you make a claim where you are at fault your rating will now only reduce by one level, (if you do not have rating protection) not two as used to be the case.

Remember, however, that all motor vehicle incidents you have and claims you make may impact your next year's premium, regardless of your rating.
