RACV has officially opened the doors to our new Mobility Hub – an architecturally-designed end-of-trip facility to encourage RACV employees, Club members and tenanted employees of 485 and 473 Bourke Street to opt for healthier, more sustainable and more efficient forms of transport.
Located on Basement 1 (B1) level of the RACV City Club carpark, accessible via New Chancery Lane, the Mobility Hub is not just for cyclists but also walkers, runners and those wanting to increase their daily dose of physical activity. As well as secure bicycle parking and changerooms with showers, the Mobility Hub includes charging facilities for electric vehicles and eBikes.
All RACV Club members will have automatic access to the secure bicycle parking and unisex change room using your Club membership card – from Thursday 5 October. For those wanting to secure an assigned locker in the designated male and female changerooms which include amenities such as hair dryers, ironing facilities and a cycling-friendly vending machine, please see the reception desk in the ground floor lobby at 485 Bourke St during work hours from Thursday 5 October. For Club membership enquiries, please see the Membership desk in RACV City Club.
RACV members are not just motorists, but also cyclists, pedestrians and public transport users – and often a combination of all of these.
Watch RACV CEO & MD Neil Taylor talk about the great benefits of the Mobility Hub – part of a suite of services provided to enhance the Club member experience.
The RACV Mobility Hub is part of a suite of services provided to you as a Club member to make it easier to explore alternative means of travel. We have listened to your feedback that those who cycle into the City Club want secure parking for your bike, while Club members using our Fitness Centre need additional lockers.
The Mobility Hub supports our Club members and RACV employees to opt for a healthier, more efficient and sustainable way of commuting to Melbourne’s CBD.
The Mobility Hub is located on Basement 1 (B1) level of the RACV City Club carpark.
All Club members will have automatic access to the ‘casual use’ section, which includes access to the bike storage area and unisex change room.
Casual use: The unisex change room contains a limited number of both showers and lockers, offered on a ‘first in, first serve’ basis. Lockers automatically open each day at 9pm and any items left in lockers or the change room will be removed to ensure the Mobility Hub is kept clean and tidy (items will be recoverable from lost property).
Assigned use: Access to individually-assigned lockers in the designated male and female change rooms with a greater number of showers, for an annual fee of $405.00 (including GST) – or just over $1 per day (this is the same price as a locker in the Fitness Centre). Club members wanting an assigned locker will need to have their Club member card reprogrammed accordingly. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange an assigned locker.
*Please note there is a limited number of assigned lockers available and once allocation is exhausted, members will be put on a waiting list for the next available locker. Please get in early to avoid disappointment.
