Masterclass: Cool-Climate Shiraz
Date: Thursday 26 October
Venue: Level 1, City Club
Time: 6.30pm-8.30pm

The rise of cool-climate shiraz in Australia is well documented and pioneers like Clonakilla have been instrumental in advancing cool-climate expressions of shiraz alongside the traditional, rich, warm climate shiraz style.
This masterclass is an opportunity to compare different cool-climate examples, to explore the issues specific to growing and making shiraz in these climates, and to assess the development of style and quality.
This informative tasting will be hosted by Michael Hill-Smith, featuring benchmark wines from the Northern Rhone alongside leading examples of Australian cool-climate shiraz served with light food.
