A Jewel in the Crown

Lunch with Adrian Dickens

From the infamous Koh-i-Noor Diamond, to the wonderfully juicy 'Tutti-Fruitti' style created by the house of Cartier, Adrian discusses some of the world's most magnificent jewels set with historical Indian gems.

Adrian examines India's influence on European jewels in the early 20th Century. Originally owned by Maharajas and Maharanees, including the scandalous 'Wallis Simpson of India', these treasures were reincarnated to adorn European royalty, aristocrats and socialites of the 1920s and 1930s. These masterpieces are from an era of style and unsurpassed 'Deco-dence'.
