115 years: Celebrating the Vision of Our Founding Members

In March 1904, 72 enthusiasts formed the Automobile Club of Victoria. Among them, successful businessmen, world class motor sportsmen and motor vehicle engineers. Club activities ranged from social events to advocacy on motoring issues.

RACV's Heritage Curator, Helen Stitt, celebrates these influential members and looks at member life in the early days.
