    Join Kenneth Park as he explores Clubland London. Clubs have long been a part of the London social scene and in more recent years have moved with the times with innovative makeovers, relaxation of rules and welcoming of the opposite sex as Members. This illustrated lecture will dive into in how Clubs have evolved over the years in London and include RACV reciprocal Clubs.

    An exclusive way to experience this exhibition for Club Members. Meet at Rippon Lea Estate, Elsternwick for an exhibition filled with glamour, romance & adventure. Start your afternoon with a presentation from Curator, Elizabeth Anya-Petrivna on how the exhibition came to life. Tickets include Devonshire tea (2 Scones with Jam and hot/cool drink), followed by private access to experience the exhibition from 3-4pm. Members can also stay to explore the Mansion Gardens at leisure after the exhibition. Transport not included; limited tickets available.

    Social 8-ball is officially back! Members and guests are invited back to the Billiards Room to enjoy a social night of 8-ball. Played in round-robin format with Club prizes awarded on the night. World Champion and Resident Professional, Robby Foldvari will be supervising the evening.

    Kenneth Park Tour: Changing Face of Collins St Part Two

    Southern Cross Station

     

    Leaving from Southern Cross Station, part two includes exploring the southern end of the CBD to discover fine heritage listed buildings, amazing architecture and new developments that have sprung up, whilst enjoying the much loved treelined grand thoroughfare. This walking tour is for 2 hours and will finish at RACV City Club for coffee.

    Author Talk: Michael Rowland on the Australian Bushfires

    Join us for our next author talk spearheaded by Michael Rowland and told by ABC journalists who were on the ground during our worst ever fire season. 

     

    This talk contains updates, new stories and overviews and reflections on how such a catastrophe occurred and what we have learnt from it. It is both a record of the events and a tribute to those who endured, escaped, fought and in some cases paid the ultimate price. All publisher profits from this book will be donated to the Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund, assisting people, animals, forests and communities affected by the fires.

    Join Adrian Dickens at City Club in a fascinating 50-minute illustrated presentation including wonderful jewels that are still regarded today as some of the greatest jewels ever created. This talk describes many of the jewels given to “the woman he loved” as well as many of their possessions, clothes and eccentricities that became synonymous with the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. Lecture includes High Tea and glass of wine.

    This month’s installment of Sunday Films in the City Club Theatrette is based on the real-life drama story of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Follow Ginsburg's early career as a struggling attorney and new mother facing adversity and numerous obstacles in her fight for equal rights. Start with a glass of wine on arrival, before heading into the theatrette with light snacks in hand.

    This month’s installment of Sunday Films in the City Club Theatrette is an ANZAC Day tribute with the film Gallipoli. Follow two Australian sprinters as they face the brutal realities of war when they are sent to fight in World War I.
