Purposes for which we collect your personal information: We collect personal information from you for the purposes of: identifying a suitable trade service to provide you with a job quote, managing your quote (including acceptance and payment), communicating with you regarding your quote including any work completed (including complaints or issues you have when you use RACV Trades), and conducting data analytics to help us improve our products and services. If you don’t provide us with the information we need, or if you provide us with incorrect or incomplete information, then we may not be able to provide you with the services you require. The information we collect is collected directly from you.
In addition, we use service providers to help us manage our online services through which you can submit a quote request, view your quote and communicate with us to accept and pay for your trade service. Your information will be stored in servers located in Australia, and in limited circumstances your personal information may be visible to service providers located in India who provide us with operational support for our online services. We have taken steps to ensure acceptable security arrangements are in place to protect your information.
Direct marketing: We may use your personal information to tell you about other products and services, discounts, special offers, competitions and invitations to special events. If you do not wish to receive any marketing material from RACV, you can withdraw your consent by contacting us on 13 15 60 or by using the unsubscribe function if you have received marketing material electronically.
