Tom's Top Tips: Practicing with Purpose

My first piece of advice is simple yet flows into my own personal aim of more efficient practice.

Most golfers when practicing hit a bucket of balls and leave the driving range without a thought of the outcome. It is important to go into any practice time with a purpose and know what you need to work on. To ensure you do this efficiently, take five balls at a time, hit them, then stand back and assess what happened to each shot and if you met the objective that you wanted. Take another five and do the same thing.

This focuses on the mental patterns for each block of balls and allows the mind to keep thinking fresh without distractions.

Enjoy and good luck!
