RACV brings back 1990s movie prices with exclusive Village offer

RACV External Communications

December 11, 2025

New annual passes deliver 65 per cent savings and genuine nostalgic pricing for RACV Members.

RACV today unveiled an exclusive partnership with Village Cinemas that turns back the clock on entertainment costs, offering members the chance to see 2026's biggest films for as little as $8.33 per ticket – less than what moviegoers paid three decades ago.

The landmark member benefit features two RACV Annual Pass options that deliver savings of up to 65 per cent on regular cinema pricing, making movie nights affordable for families and film lovers again.

$200 RACV Annual Pass – Save 65 per cent

RACV Members can enjoy an entire year of cinema for just $200, receiving 12 double adult vouchers (24 tickets total). At only $8.33 per ticket compared to the standard $24 admission at Village Cinemas, members save over $375 annually while enjoying unrestricted access to all new releases throughout 2026.

$250 RACV Annual Pass + Popcorn – Save 65 per cent

For the complete cinema experience, members can upgrade to include Australia's favourite movie snack. This premium pass includes 12 double adult vouchers plus 24 small popcorns for just $250 – that's only $2 per popcorn compared to the regular $10.50 price. Combined, members receive over $650 worth of movies and snacks for less than half price.

RACV Executive General Manager Leisure Craig Peachey said RACV was thrilled to partner with Village Cinemas to deliver genuine 1990s pricing in 2026.

"RACV members told us they love going to the movies but rising entertainment costs have made it harder for families to enjoy this classic experience," said Mr Peachey.

"This is about more than just savings – it's about making sure our members can create lasting memories at the cinema without the financial stress. This would make the perfect Christmas present and ideal if you like to gift experiences rather than ‘things’."
