RACV opens refurbished Ballarat store with new travel agency offering
RACV will today open the doors to a bigger and better Ballarat store, where members and customers can also secure exclusive travel and experience deals.
The store at 20 Doveton Street North, Ballarat Central, will allow members and customers to access the full range of RACV products and services across insurance, roadside and home assistance, along with travel agents to support tour bookings, cruises, flights, accommodation, airport transfers, travel insurance and international driving permits.
RACV’s new Ballarat store will have a dedicated travel agency with access to partners including Australian Pacific Touring (APT), Scenic, Intrepid, Journey Beyond and Princess Cruises, among other well-known and trusted partners.
RACV Executive General Manager Leisure Craig Peachey said RACV was proud of its long and ongoing contribution to the Ballarat region.
“RACV has a long association with the Ballarat area and this refurbishment will make it even easier for RACV members and customers to access the full suite of RACV products and services, including everything they need for their next holiday,” Mr Peachey said.
“We’re thrilled to now offer travel and experience services at our Ballarat store, and the team look forward to assisting members and customers with everything from domestic and international tours, cruises, flight deals, luxury and budget accommodation and, of course, your travel insurance options,” Mr Peachey said.
The RACV Ballarat store team has celebrated the opening by supporting the local community through a donation of $5,000 to Food is Free, a community led not-for-profit providing food security and education.
Food is Free works to build community resilience and environmental awareness by providing education about living sustainably, growing and sharing fresh nutritious food.
Founder and Director of Food is Free Lou Risdale said they are so appreciative of the support from RACV.
“RACV Goldfields Resort has kindly donated funds in the past which enabled us to deliver food security workshops and now the additional support from RACV is helping us with our First Nations Women’s Yarning Garden Group by enabling us to purchase computers and compost bins to help us deliver the program,” Ms Risdale said.
The new travel services will operate Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, complementing RACV's existing regional investments including the RACV Goldfields Resort in nearby Creswick and recently upgraded electric vehicle charging infrastructure at 61 Curtis Street.
