I did not receive an Election Pack?

The 2020 RACV Board election is being held online this year.  You will be sent either an email or SMS with a link to enable you to lodge your vote.

If RACV does not hold an email address or mobile phone number for you, a vote information letter will be mailed to you in early September that provides access details to vote online..

Should you require a paper voting pack, these maybe requested by going to or by contacting CorpVote support at or by calling 1300 147 797

Am I eligible to vote?

You are eligible to vote in the election if you (and you were also a member as at 1 March 2020) hold a membership under any of the following categories:

  • Ordinary (Club) Member (including Associate Member)
  • Service Member

The following categories of membership are not permitted to vote:

  • Honorary Member
  • Temporary Member
  • Manufacturers' Assistance Program Member
  • Absentee Member
  • Associate Corporate Member
  • Relationship Member
  • RACV Golf Member
  • One Lifestyle Member

Is voting compulsory?

No, voting is not compulsory although, as a member of the RACV you have the right to exercise a vote.

When does voting close?

Voting closes at 2.00pm Wednesday, 30 September, 2020. All votes must be lodged online by this time or completed paper ballots received by this time or they will not be counted.

How do I complete my vote?


  • In order to lodge your vote online you will require a Voter Access Code.
  • If you have received a letter, your Voter Access Code will be contain within the letter, along with instructions about how to vote online.
  • If you have received an email or SMS concerning the election, your Voter Access Code will be contained within this message, along with a link to vote online.
  • Once you’ve accessed the online system, follow the onscreen instructions to lodge your vote. Candidate information is available after you login.

Paper Ballot

  1. On the ballot paper, place a tick in TWO boxes next to the names of the TWO candidates of your choice or tick the box appointing the Chairman as your proxy.
  2. Place the completed ballot paper into the ballot paper envelope and seal it.
  3. On the back of the ballot paper envelope, complete the voter declaration by writing your RACV member name and number as it appears on your membership card, and sign in the space provided.
  4. Place the ballot paper envelope into the reply-paid envelope addressed to the Returning Officer.
  5. Post the reply-paid envelope so it reaches the Returning Officer no later than 2.00pm (AEST) on Wednesday, 30 September, 2020.

Candidate information is available after you log into the online voting system, or in the paper ‘Candidate Information & Voting Instructions’ document included in your Election Pack. This information is also available for download in PDF format.

Additional information concerning the Candidates' campaign platform (what they stand for) can be obtained by contacting the candidates directly. The contact details for each candidate can be found on the ‘Candidate Information & Voting Instructions’ document.

Can my spouse or family members vote also?

Voting rights are only given to those members of your family that hold their own RACV membership.  Each eligible member is allowed only one vote in this ballot regardless of the number of memberships held or the number of vehicles under a single membership.

Where/how will the election results be announced?

The result for the 2020 RACV Board Election will be announced as soon as possible on the RACV Website. The formal result will be announced at the Annual General Meeting to be held on Friday, 30 October, 2020.
