The Kia EV3 small SUV aspires to tempt buyers away from petrol small SUVs when it arrives in 2025 - and there’s plenty to like. From interior to driving, here's what you need to know about the Kia EV3.
2026 Kia EV4 preview: price, specs, release date in Australia
Kia’s rapid global rollout of electric cars is showing no signs of slowing down, with the leading Korean brand confirming pricing and specifications for the latest electric car it no doubt hopes will keep it competitive with sales leaders Tesla and BYD.
The Kia EV4 will be priced from $49,990 plus on-road costs and will join the brand’s fast-growing electric range which includes the award-winning EV9 large SUV, the sleek EV6, EV5 medium SUV and compact EV3 SUV.
While a hatch is available overseas, Australian buyers will only be offered the sedan, which will be sold in three trim levels - Air, ($49,990 plus ORCs), Earth ($59,190 plus ORCs) and GT-Line ($64,690 plus ORCs), all powered by a single motor in front-wheel drive configuration.
It will line up with the Kia EV5 mid-size SUV which was 2025's fourth best-selling electric vehicle, and help the brand compete against a surge of Chinese brands entering the local new car market which have arrived with aggressive pricing and compelling value.
Small electric vehicles from ambitious Chinese brands including the newly arrived BYD Atto 1 and BYD Atto 2, MG4 and GWM Ora are already among Australia’s cheapest electric cars on sale but it is mid-size electric SUVs like the Tesla Model Y and BYD Sealion 7 which are the most popular, with sedans sales on the decline.

Kia EV4 exterior design
The styling of Kia’s EV6, EV9, EV5 and EV3 electric range has won plaudits for its edgy and futuristic appearance, so expect much of Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy to translate well in the metal to the more traditional body types of the EV4.
Initial images of the EV4 sedan showcased a more aggressive design compared to the similarly-sized K4 which arrived in Australia in early 2025 to replace the Cerato. Combined with the vertically-styled tail lights, the EV4 sedan has an SUV-like appearance and wider looking rear than the Tesla Model 3 and BYD Seal passenger cars.

What is the interior of the Kia EV4 like?
The interior finish and features of the Kia EV4 are expected to largely mirror that of the EV3.
The Kia EV3 features an array of recycled and sustainable materials, from recycled plastic in the dash and carpet to bio-paint on select interior finishes.
The EV4 may borrow the same set up as the EV3 when it comes to infotainment and displays. Kia EV3 models feature dual 12.5-inch digital screens - one for the instrument cluster, the other for infotainment - with an additional 5-inch screen dedicated to the climate control functions.
The Kia EV4 offers the longest driving range of any Kia EV

Given the EV4 shares its technology and drivetrain with the EV3, including motor and batteries, expect similar levels of finish and features including practical storage solutions.
Like the EV3, the EV4 has also been given Kia Australia's localisation forcus, resulting in a bespoke ried and handling tune that Kia says address Australian road conditions.
