RACV supports the return of International Foto Biennale in Ballarat
World class photography will return to Ballarat for the International Foto Biennale, supported by RACV, from 23 August to 19 October.
The Ballarat International Foto Biennale is one of Australia’s leading photographic festivals that transforms Ballarat and its surrounding regions into a vibrant hub for contemporary photography and visual storytelling
This year’s theme, Lifeforce, explores the energy of human experience through powerful portraiture, documentary photography and diverse creative perspectives. The program features over 360 artists across more than 100 venues, drawing visitors from across Victoria and beyond.
As a long-standing supporter of the arts, RACV will again present a series of inspiring exhibitions and events at RACV Goldfields Resort, RACV City Club in Melbourne and RACV Inverloch Resort.
RACV Head of Visual Arts Mardi Nowak said RACV is proud to help deliver an event that showcases some of the most exciting contemporary photographic work in Australia and around the world.
“Ballarat International Foto Biennale has cemented its place as a major cultural event on the national calendar,” Ms Nowak said.
“We’re excited to be offering a series of immersive events at RACV Goldfields, including photography masterclasses, guided tours, and hands-on workshops like cyanotype and Polaroid transfers. These programs are designed to engage both seasoned photographers and curious newcomers.”
Two of the headline exhibits of the festival will also feature at RACV Goldfields Resort in Campbell Addy’s work on Nii Journal and an exclusive exhibition by renowned artist Hiromi Tango.
“Guests and visitors of Goldfields Resort really do have a rare opportunity to experience bold, world-class contemporary art in the heart of Victoria’s historic Goldfields region,” Ms Nowak said.
RACV Goldfields Resort will also host its renowned Art of Lunch on Sunday 24 August – where guests can hear from key artists from the festival and enjoy a three-course meal that is made to partner the artwork. Ticketing information is available through the RACV website.
To celebrate the festival, RACV Goldfields Resort is offering a special two-night accommodation package during the Biennale from $459*. This exclusive package includes tickets to the Ballarat International Foto Biennale, a two-course dinner at RACV Goldfields Resort restaurant Three Founders, two buffet breakfasts and RACV Members will also receive a Ballarat International Foto Biennale merchandise pack.
