Flight disruption in the Middle East

29 June 2026

The Australian Government (DFAT) has downgraded its travel
advice for Qatar and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from Level 4 “Do not
travel” to Level 3 “Reconsider your need to travel”. While conditions have
improved, the situation across the Middle East remains unpredictable and may
still impact flights and transit through major hubs.

Travellers can now travel to or transit through these

destinations, however caution is advised. Flight schedules and airspace access
may change at short notice, so we recommend reviewing your itinerary, allowing
flexibility, and limiting time spent in transit where possible.

Please be assured our expert RACV travel agents are here to support you.
