Target Market Determinations (TMD)

Key terms

A document sent to you after you purchase your insurance policy. It outlines details of your cover, such as the policy number, when it takes effect, when it expires, limits and the price of your premium.

A legal document with the terms and conditions of your cover, such as inclusions and exclusions. It should be read alongside your Certificate of Insurance.

Explains what insurance products are available and who provides them, so you can decide whether or not to use our services.

A Target Market Determination is a document which describes the intended class of customers the product is appropriate for (target market), and outlines ways the product can be distributed to customers. It also describes the circumstances where the Target Market Determination may need to be reviewed.
