What is a virtual power plant?
A virtual power plant (VPP) is a network that links energy assets — like solar and battery storage, to operate as a unified system. This optimises how and when energy is used.
VPPs use algorithms and automated systems to work out when to store or sell energy. This means you can earn revenue for excess energy by releasing it to the grid during peak demand. There’s no minimum solar or battery capacity required for businesses to join.
