More than one person rides my motorcycle. Should they be listed on my policy?
There is no need to list additional drivers or riders on your RACV Motorcycle Insurance policy, unless the additional driver or rider is under the age of 25. Age excess applies to any drivers or riders under the age of 25 in addition to any basic excess, however the amount of age excess significantly increases if the additional driver or rider is not named on your policy.
I’m under 25 years old. Will my insurance cover cost me extra?
Because young riders and drivers are statistically more likely to be involved in an accident than more experienced drivers, people aged 25 and under generally have a higher insurance premium.
Will my helmet and riding gear be covered if I have an accident?
No, protective gear is not covered with RACV Third Party Motorcycle Insurance. If you’re looking for this level of protection, you might like to look at RACV Comprehensive Motorcycle Insurance, which provides cover for up to $2000 in total to repair or replace damaged protective gear.
