RACV Cape Schanck Resort is turning One

The most memorable events from the last 12 months

Reflecting on a year of events, RACV Cape Schanck Resort turns one

Believe it or not on 1 August 2019, it's been 12 months since RACV Cape Schanck Resort opened its doors for leisure stays, conferences and events and since opening, the luxurious resort has chalked up some really memorable events across a range of clients. With a focus on utilising open-air spaces, natural light, bespoke menus featuring fresh local produce and service excellence RACV Cape Schanck has proven itself to be a leader in the events space on the Mornington Peninsula.

Here are just a few of the most memorable events from the last 12 months.

Dinner under the Stars with Guy Sebastian

The lawns of RACV Cape Schanck Resort were completely transformed as 200 conference delegates were hosted at a dinner under stars, complete with a tailored local food and wine offering.  Floral stylings by local supplier Peninsula Wildflowers and colour-coordinated blankets for each delegate to ward off the cooler night air gave the event a special touch. After a gruelling two day bump in, a complete stage, lighting and sound set up complemented the experience for delegates who were surprised at the end of the night with a private Guy Sebastian concert.

Australian Veteran Car Club Rally

Australian Veteran Car Club Rally

In November the resort played host to the 2018 Veteran Car Rally, an annual event which caters for those with an affinity for cars, commercial vehicles and motorcycles manufactured before the first of January 1919. The overall event consisted of 38 cars competing in a three day rally around the scenic Peninsula. The group of 100 spent two nights at the resort and celebrated with a sit-down three course dinner and dancing on the final evening.

Tour de PIF Corporate Cycling Fundraiser

This event centred around a challenging non-competitive 81km or 56km route around the stunning Mornington Peninsula to raise money for homeless and at risk youth and was participated in by 250 corporate cyclists. The ride was followed by a hosted grazing-style lunch in the resort's Great Southern Ballroom, with a menu designed to cater to the carbohydrate and protein needs of the cyclists.
