RACV today announced that Neil Taylor will commence as Managing Director and CEO on 1 March 2016.

RACV President and Chairman Kevin White said that Mr Taylor has a strong track record of leadership and active engagement with members, customers, stakeholders and staff.

“Neil is a very experienced Chief Executive, having led three quite different businesses.  He began his career in the United Kingdom with BP, living and working in five countries over 13 years.

“Most recently, Neil led the Greyhound bus business, where his focus on people, customer service and technology built Greyhound into a company highly regarded for its innovation and use of digital applications to connect with customers,” he said.

Mr Taylor said that he was very honoured and excited to be given the opportunity to work with such an iconic organisation as RACV.

“The sectors in which RACV operates are undergoing rapid and accelerating change.  I believe that this provides opportunities for RACV to grow and innovate, particularly in creating further member value through the use of technology across all areas of the business.

“I am fortunate to inherit a strong company which has an absolute focus on and commitment to its 2.1 million loyal members," he said.

The RACV Board undertook a considered and rigorous process to succeed Mr Colin Jordan as he steps down this year and Mr White said that during Mr Jordan’s 15-year tenure, RACV has grown to become one of the most successful member-centric organisations in the world.

RACV is widely recognised for its innovation and growth, built around the changing demographics of our community and the evolving needs of our members.

“RACV’s delivery of member value, its financial performance and brand strength are a huge credit to Mr Jordan’s leadership and he leaves an enduring legacy,” Mr White said.

“In appointing a new Managing Director and CEO, our goal was to identify someone capable of building on this strong platform and establishing a new phase of growth, value and benefit for RACV’s members.”

Mr White said that Mr Taylor shares RACV’s purpose and values, and will make a vital and meaningful contribution to the future growth and prosperity of RACV.

“We are delighted to have someone of his calibre as our new Chief Executive and member of the RACV Board, and we are very much looking forward to him joining us,” he said.
