Healthy juices for summer

Cleansing, refreshing, calming and revitalising, these are the RACV Club’s best juice recipes for you to try over summer.

Fresh juices not only taste good, they are good for you. Our Cleansing juice is rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, while our Calm juice is a great source of folate, potassium, iron and vitamin C.

Dietitians recommend adults eat a wide variety of fruits and vegetables to get the most health benefits and protection against disease, with at least five kinds of vegetable and two kinds of fruit every day.

The method for these juices is the same.

  1. Wash your fruit and vegetables first, if required.
  2. Roughly chop the fruit and vegetables to fit into your device.
  3. Remove the rind and white pith from citrus fruits before juicing, as they can be bitter.

At the Club we use a cold press to make these juices, but at home you can use a juicer, or a blender if you prefer to keep the pulp and fibre. You can also modify the recipe to adjust the quantity.
