The finest vines
The Mornington Peninsula is arguably Victoria's best wine region, especially for the classic varieties of chardonnay and pinot noir. There are almost 70 cellar doors in the region and many have lunch options ranging from pizza to the finest dining. And the views from most of the wineries are wonderful.

Bountiful beaches
This part of the Victorian coast has many moods and so do its beaches. In summer the surf or 'back' beaches are ideal for a splash (being mindful of surf life-saving areas and conditions), and in winter you can rug up and experience their wild side. A great family alternative are the 'front' beaches on the Bay at the likes of Rosebud, Rye and Blairgowrie.
RACV Cape Schanck Resort is located approximately 2 hours drive south of Melbourne. The fastest route to the resort is via the Monash Freeway, taking the EastLink turn-off to Frankston and then following the Mornington Peninsula Freeway to Rosebud. From there, turn into Boneo Road and follow it for about 10 minutes to reach the resort.
For a scenic route, follow the Nepean Highway to Mornington, before turning onto the Esplanade and follow the coast to Boneo Road. From here, the resort is a short drive.
Transport options
Airport bus
Transport from Melbourne's Tullamarine Airport has never been so easy with the SkyBus running a fast, frequent and affordable airport transfer seven days a week.
With stops in Mornington Peninsula, Rosebud and Dromana it's simple to alight from each of the three stops and take a scenic drive in a taxi or Uber to RACV Cape Schanck Resort.
Train
Take the Frankston train line to Frankston from the Melbourne CBD. From Frankston embark the 788 Portsea bus to Adams Avenue, Rosebud. We would then recommend opting for comfort by taking a taxi or booking an Uber from the bus stop to the resort.
Searoad Ferries
Searoad Ferries, Australia's favourite car and passenger ferry, connects the Mornington and Bellarine Peninsulas and is a great alternative to the drive through the city, on toll roads and through city traffic. Two all weather ferries depart on the hour, every hour between 7am - 6pm from Sorrento Pier and Queenscliff Harbour.
See dolphins, spectacular coastline and big ships as you breathe incredibly fresh air. Enjoy comfortable lounges, onboard café, wi-fi and a children's play area.
