RACV in the community

We're committed to devoting time and resources to projects, initiatives and activities that have a positive effect on our community.

  • Supporting Victorian communities

As Victoria’s principal membership organisation, we take our obligation to act as a responsible corporate citizen seriously. That's why every year, we support a variety of projects and programs that work to strengthen local communities. We do this through our:

    • Community Foundation program where we assist not-for-profit organisations and charity groups.
    • Volunteer program that provides Members with the opportunity to get involved in a range of activities and projects.
    • Community partnerships with Netball Victoria, Phillip Island Nature Parks and Safety Alliance Victoria.

We also host a variety of activities throughout the year for you to get involved in.

RACV Members Family Day

Join us for our family fun day at Churchill Island’s working farm and heritage gardens on Sunday 22 March, 2020. There'll be lots to get involved with, including:

  • a sausage sizzle
  • wagon rides and games for the kids
  • cow milking and sheep shearing
  • whip cracking demonstrations
  • face painting, entertainment and more.

Help veterans on Anzac Day

We've been involved in the welfare of veterans since World War I, when RACV Members met hospital ships at Station Pier to welcome soldiers home and take the wounded to Caulfield Military Hospital. We continue this tradition by helping to transport veterans every Anzac Day.

If you'd like to help drive veterans to the Shrine of Rememberance Melbourne march in 2020, contact RACV Community and Corporate Responsibility on (03) 9790 2975.

To volunteer, your vehicle can't be older than a 2011 make and must be a four-door medium SUV or medium or large sedan.
