Luggage and travel document replacement, credit for delayed luggage

For approved claims, luggage will be repaired or replaced if it gets lost, is stolen or damaged. For lost travel documents and credit cards, or those illegally used by someone other than you or your travelling companion, there is cover for their replacement or cost resulting from their fraudulent use. Lastly, receive reimbursement towards clothing and essentials if your luggage is delayed by over ten hours.#

Round-the-clock emergency medical assistance

Give yourself some defence against accidents, insect-borne diseases and infections with 24/7 overseas emergency assistance and $unlimited hospital cover.^ Receive $50 per 24-hour period if your stay in hospital exceeds 48 hours. Plus, be covered for up to 38 pre-existing medical conditions including Diabetes Type 1 and 2, high blood pressure~ and cover for pregnancy up to the 25th week provided conditions meet specific criteria.#

Motorcycle, moped and scooter cover

Whether you’re hitting the open road in remote villages, coastal locations or cities, insurance for moped and motorcycles is included in your policy at no extra cost. You must be wearing a helmet if you are riding or travelling as a passenger on a Motorcycle, Moped, Scooter or Quad Bike.ǁ

Sports and activities

+ Dependant means any of your children, stepchildren, foster children or grandchildren who are 25 years of age or under at the time you purchase your policy, financially dependent on their parents or grandparents, not working full time, travelling with you for your entire trip and listed on the Certificate of Insurance as your Dependant. ǁ ‘Moped or Scooter’ (two or three wheeled motor vehicle (including e-scooters) with engine capacity up to 50cc), ‘Motorcycle’ (two or three wheeled motor vehicle (including electronic versions) with engine capacity equal to or greater than 50cc) and ‘Quad Bike’ are defined in the PDS. Cover is subject to general exclusions, including where you are operating or travelling as a passenger without wearing a helmet and driving without meeting specific licensing requirements. Assistance and support

Emergency assistance while overseas

The Emergency Assistance Team are available to provide overseas emergency support 24-hours a day. Reverse charges are accepted.

Call as soon as practical if you are hospitalised, or you are receiving outpatient care where the total costs will exceed $2,000.

RACV Travel Insurance won't cover you for destinations with a Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade "Do Not Travel" status.
