What’s the main difference between Veteran, Vintage or Classic Insurance and other types of motorbike or motor insurance?
Because classic, veteran and vintage vehicles are only used recreationally and not as a primary mode of transport, the cost to insure the vehicle with a specialised policy is generally a lot less than what you might pay for general comprehensive cover with a regular vehicle.
What kind of registration types do you cover for Veteran, Vintage or Classic Vehicle Insurance?
This policy can cover full, club/historic and modified plate registration types. In some situations, an unregistered vehicle may also be insured.
Will my veteran, vintage or classic motorcycle be insured for agreed or market value?
Your vehicle will be insured for an agreed value. The agreed value that applies to your motorcycle, trike or scooter is shown on your current Certificate of Insurance. Factors that contribute to the agreed value include:
- GST
- Registration
- On-road costs
- Modifications, options or accessories attached to the vehicle.
