RACV Extra Care

With Total Care, members are covered in any car they drive as well as being able to nominate an additional vehicle for cover.

In metropolitan areas members will be towed in a direction of their choice to the kilometre limit advised in the table. Any additional kilometres travelled will need to be paid by the member.

In regional areas members will be towed in a direction of their choice to the kilometre limit advised in the table. Roadside Care members will only be towed to the closest attending RACV Service Centre.

This is the number of times you can call out RACV for roadside assistance each subscription year.

We'll provide up to 5 litres of petrol or diesel to get you to the nearest service station, and we'll bring it to you.

Under Total Care and Extra Care, caravan and trailer assistance will be provided if the vehicle or the trailer being towed becomes immobile. Please review the terms and conditions for the vehicle size and weight restrictions.

This is to cover minor repairs such as fan belts and globes. Consumables such as oil are not covered.

If RACV can't unlock your vehicle, this is the amount we will contribute to a professional locksmith. 

This is the total dollar value of the benefits you can receive for each break down you have within 100km of your home. The amount can be used on alternative transport and taxi trips. In regards to taxis, Total Care members can receive up to 3 trips per breakdown at up to $80 each trip, Extra Care members 3 trips at up to $60 a trip, and Roadside Care members 1 trip up to $50.

This is the total dollar value of the benefits you can receive for each break down you have more than 100km from your home. It includes accommodation, rental vehicles, alternative transport, and taxi benefits. In regards to taxis, Total Care members receive 3 trips each break down of up to $80 each trip, Extra Care members receive 3 trips up to $60 each trip, and Roadside Care members 1 trip up to $50.
