Easy Sausage Rolls

Whether it's a lunchtime treat, after school snack or enjoyed while you watch your favourite sporting match, the sausage roll is an Aussie favourite and a mainstay in many homes across the country.

RACV's Le Petit Gateau Executive Pastry Chef Amit Sinha shared this recipe ahead of the AFL Grand Final, and proved to be a winner for all of us.

Honeycomb

RACV Cape Schanck Resort Head Pastry Chef Shannon Thirumal showed us how bubbles are created in honeycomb by using a simple recipe using the magical ingredient - bicarbonate soda.

See the recipe here, and find out how the heat from the sugar mix breaks down the bicarbonate soda causing it to release carbon dioxide gas. And it's that gas that causes the bubbles in the honeycomb, and it’s those bubbles that make the honeycomb expand!

Pancake Cereal

This recipe was a little more on the adventurous side, but it proved to be as delicious as it sounds. Basically, you make up a pancake mixture, pour into a squeezy bottle and dot little pancakes around a hot pan. Flip them over when they start to bubble, give them another minute or so, and you’re done!

Our readers came in droves to try this recipe – a great one for the kids to get involved with too!
