Victoria's country markets, with their local produce, unique finds, and lively community atmosphere, are perfect for a day trip or longer road trip. Here's a guide to the best regional markets, whether you're into farmers markets, arts and crafts, or trash and treasure.

Whether you're chasing down seasonal produce, handmade crafts or that elusive vintage treasure, regional Victorian markets offer some of the most vibrant and authentic experiences for weekend wanderers.

The best finds can go quickly, so arrive early! If you're keen to explore smaller rural markets, consider carrying cash in case vendors don't have card readers.

Here is a guide to some of the best farmers, arts and crafts, and flea markets across regional Victoria. Double-check opening hours and dates on market websites and social media before you leave: some won't run in poor weather or may be cancelled for other reasons.

Victoria's best regional farmers markets

Farmers markets have become weekend institutions across Victoria, offering locals and visitors the chance to buy direct from growers, producers and makers. They're the ideal place to stock up on just-picked fruit and veg, artisan bread, small-batch cheeses and free-range meats. You'll also often find fresh flowers, preserves, and breakfast options like bacon-and-egg rolls or locally roasted coffee.
