PGA of Australia is set to bring new tournaments to RACV’s Victorian resorts this year thanks to an expanded partnership with RACV.
RACV’s Royal Pines Resort in Queensland has hosted the annual Australian PGA Championship since 2013, and Victorians can now enjoy premier golf events being held in their home state.
The Victorian PGA Championship will move to the newly expanded RACV Cape Schanck Resort in October and new Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series events will be held at the RACV Healesville Country Club and RACV Torquay Resort in December.
RACV Goldfields Resort hosted a brand-new two-day Pro-Am in the same format as the ISPS HANDA World Super 6 Perth event in mid-January. Goldfields and Healesville will also host two new Ladbrokes Legends Tour events (on 28 January and 10 March, respectively).
“RACV members will now be able to experience premier golf opportunities in their home state as well as enjoy exclusive RACV Golf member benefits,” says Neil Taylor, RACV managing director and CEO.
Gavin Kirkman, CEO of the PGA of Australia, says RACV Royal Pines Resort has been a “fantastic” host of the Australian PGA Championship, “and we look forward to extending our events to RACV’s Victorian resorts”.
“RACV’s new Cape Schanck facilities and golf courses are first class and therefore the natural fit for staging the Victorian PGA Championship as well as our new pro-am events.”
The newly expanded Cape Schanck Resort will open in mid-2018.
