Byramine Homestead and Brewery

Historic Byramine Homestead was built in 1842 by famous explorer Hamilton Hume for his widowed sister-in-law Elizabeth.  The building is classified by the National Trust for its unique design and is the oldest homestead in Victoria.  It features octagonal shaped rooms and a central fortress room. The design worked well for the hot climate and bushrangers could be spotted from all directions.

Today the Byramine Homestead is home to a boutique brewery showcasing a great range of beers, ciders, ginger beer and wines.  Guests are able to tour the homestead, enjoy Devonshire tea’s, light lunches and the brewery’s delights.
