Returned servicemen and women who are unable to walk the Anzac Day route can still be part of the traditional march.

An RACV initiative dating back to 1915 means veterans are coordinated with an RACV volunteer who will pick them up from their home, drive them to the city to arrive about 8.30am, and drive them in the march to the Shrine of Remembrance.

Seating and refreshments are provided during the march. The volunteers then drive the veterans home.

Veterans requiring the services of a driver can call RACV on 9790 2975.
